I'm here to help you...

Navigate life's challenges Grow and understand yourself Accomplish goals

If you are feeling...

Disconnected from yourself

Are you feeling like you’ve drifted from your values or don’t even know what's important to you? Let's name what truly matters, identify your signature strengths, and rebuild your days around them.

Busy but unfulfilled

You’re checking off all the "right" boxes, yet something feels off. Let's slow down, breathe, and take a step back to figure out what's missing for you and design goals, habits, and rhythms that create real satisfaction—not just productivity—so your effort actually feels worth it.

Worn out and craving peace

Stress, rumination, or burnout are running the show. I’ll teach simple, evidence-based practices—mindfulness, breathwork, time in nature, gratitude, and more—to settle your nervous system, restore energy, and bring steadier calm into everyday life.

Called to make a bigger impact

You want your work and time to matter. We’ll translate your values into concrete contributions so you’re using your strengths for something meaningful and can point to outcomes you’re proud of.

As your coach, I don't have all of the answers...

...But I do believe that you

already have what you need.

My approach to coaching

As a coach, I help my clients build their lives around who they are rather than building who they are around their lives. We work together step by step to figure out what needs to happen, tackle any obstacles along the way, and make real progress toward the life you want.

I combine mindfulness strategies and deep reflection with real, practical action steps so that you don't just think about change - you actually experience it.

Contrary to what some people may think, my role is not to give you advice or tell you how to live your life. I may sometimes share my perspective and strategies I've learned, but I prefer to do FAR more questioning than I do telling.

I seek out the right kinds of questions that help you reflect and tap into your own intuition. When helpful, I'll paraphrase and reflect back what you tell me, summarize and point out the common threads, and inquire into your non-verbal emotions, shifts, and energy levels. I will also help you to listen to your emotions, learning from them without letting them control you.

I often say that I don't hve the answers, but I have the tools to help you find your answers.

My values and philosophy

I value and respect all forms of life, and it is important to me to promote balance, kindness, respect, and integrity in the way that I coach.

I believe that everyone has the potential to do good and to flourish, and I try to nurture the potential to do good in myself and others who would like my help in doing so.

I like to use the metaphor of plants: each person is like a unique type of plant, needing the right combination of sun/shade, water, soil, nutrients, air, and more. Humans also need the right surroundings, care, and influences, both tangible and intangible, to thrive. The better we care for ourselves, the better we can care for others.

Lastly, it is important to me to provide a safe and welcoming space for anyone who identifies as a minority or LGBTQIA+. If there is anything I can do to help make you feel more accepted and welcome, please don't hesitate to ask.

Meet Brittany

I grew up near Fort Worth, Texas, moved across the country and around the world, and am now living in San Diego, California. I have a background in nonprofits, international development, and sustainability, but I recently underwent a major career transition in order to pursue life coaching.

Taking the step to align my career with my passion for people & personal development helped me to find a greater sense of fulfillment and peace in my life. In turn, I aim to help reduce suffering and increase happiness in others' lives, and by extension, society at large.

I have completed an ICF-accredited coach training program through the Happy Whole Human Institute of Holistic Wellness and am in the process of completing the certification requirements to be an ICF-certified Level 1/ACC Coach.

Fun facts about me:

  • I'm a HUGE cat person

  • I'm kind of a nerd (I teach a kids' science program on the side, and I love sci-fi)

  • I love letting out my inner hippie at psytrance music festivals

  • I've lived/studied in South Africa, Switzerland, Jordan, and Cameroon (and in the US: TX, MI, and CA)

I grew up near Fort Worth, Texas, moved across the country and around the world, and am now living in San Diego, California. I have a background in nonprofits, international development, and sustainability, but in early 2024, I underwent a major career transition in order to pursue life coaching and entrepreneurship.

Taking the step to align my career with my passion for people & personal development helped me to find a greater sense of fulfillment and peace in my life. In turn, I aim to help increase joy in others' lives in hopes that it will spread to society at large.

I'm a self-confessed overthinker, but by learning to push through my anxieties, I’ve had the chance to live on four different continents, and every big move I’ve made started with one decision to just go for it. But here’s the thing—each time, I can point to a specific person who supported me and challenged me to take that first step.

I love getting to be that person for my clients, and nothing makes me happier than seeing my clients build a life that brings them happiness and fulfillment.

Fun facts about me:

  • I'm kind of a nerd (I have a side business building business automations, and I love sci-fi)

  • I camped in the snow for the first time at Mammoth in March 2025!

FAQS

What is life coaching, and how can it help me?

In coaching, I'll meet with you regularly to determine your goals in life, help you find clarity on what your obstacles are, and support you in becoming the person you want to be. Whether you need support understanding your emotions, defining your values, or working on practical things like productivity and accomplishing goals, life coaching can be instrumental in helping you grow as a person and deepening your understanding of yourself.

Life coaching is especially helpful if you want to be able to talk freely about your thoughts, struggles, and dreams with someone who is in your corner, empathetically listening without judgment. Having the support of a coach and the accountability of regular meetings is a great source of motivation to finally get around to doing the things that you've been saying you wanted to do since forever! My approach is non-directive, meaning that I'm not here to give you the answers, I'm here to provide a space for you to dig deep and find what works best for you in order to find lasting change.

Please see "My approach to coaching" to learn more.

What's the difference between life coaching and therapy?

While coaching and therapy may have some overlap, the main distinction is that life coaching works from a perspective of goal-setting and personal development rather than mental health, past wounds, and deep-rooted issues. If you are suffering from a serious mental health problem such as severe depression, panic attacks, bipolar disorder, suicidal thoughts, or PTSD, I will refer you to mental health resources and professionals who are specifically trained for these kinds of challenges.

What actually happens in a life coaching session?

Here are some of the elements that a typical session may include:

-Setting goals: We start each session by figuring out what you want to work on and defining a clear, measurable goal for the session.

-Open-ended questions and reflection: I’ll ask questions to help you think through your ideas and feelings, reflecting back what I hear and helping you dig deeper and make connections.

-Mindfulness practices: If you're interested, I love to incorporate meditation or deep breathing exercises into sessions.

-Other tools and exercises: When appropriate, I may ask if you'd like to try an exercise that could help guide your thinking on a particular topic.

It's important to note that I’m not here to give advice or tell you what to do, but to help you find your own answers. My role is to provide a safe space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings and offer observations and tools to help you see new possibilities.

Do I need to commit to doing life coaching over a certain period of time?

The duration of your coaching engagement can vary based on your specific goals, needs, and financial situation. Some people find value in a few sessions focused on specific issues or challenges, but for broader issues, deeper growth, and change that will last, I really do recommend a few months of weekly or at least bi-weekly sessions.

That said, it is totally fine to just try one session to see how you like it, but it's important not to expect one session to be a magic cure that fixes all of your problems!

What qualifications/training do you have?

I have completed an International Coaching Federation (ICF)-accredited training program at the Happy Whole Human Institute of Holistic Wellness, and I am currently working towards fulfilling the requirements to be certified as a Level 1/Associate Certified Coach through the ICF. This includes completing 60 training and education hours, 100 coaching hours, and mentorship sessions with my instructor, who is a Master Certified Coach.

That said, life coaching is not a legally regulated profession, which is why many coaches such as myself choose to work under the guidance and ethical practices of an independent body such as the ICF.

Is it OK to talk about _____?

There are no taboos or awkward topics here. I aim to provide a safe, judgment-free space to talk about anything and everything that is a part of your life and wellbeing. Your beliefs, identity, practices, and lifestyle are your own, and if they are meaningful and beneficial for you, then they are important to me.

For instance, I am accepting of alternative relationship relationship styles, altered states of consciousness for personal development and growth (whether induced chemically or through practices), and diverse worldviews. I may not be an expert in all of these things, or be able to give you advice on how to do them best, but I strive to keep an open mind and will listen to your perspective without judgment.

If there is anything I can do to help make you feel more accepted and welcome, please don't hesitate to ask.
